For adolescents and young adults? The consequences are more severe, as it can predispose them to subsequent medical conditions such as diabetes mellitus type 2 and hepatic steatosis.
Instead, try reaching for:
Water (it’s a classic for a reason!)
Unsweetened tea
Sparkling water for a fizzy kick
Coffee (but in moderation!)
Snack on Nuts and Seeds
Don’t let the fat content scare you away from nuts. They’re loaded with protein, fiber, and healthy fats that are amazing for your body.
